Meeting and Kick-Off Times

October 10, 2016 by dsingletary

Howdy! Thank you to everyone who is participating in the 25th Annual Replant Day. Here are some answers to a few questions we keep receiving or some things that have been made unclear:

1. What time does Replant Day start?

There are 3 kick-off times: 9:00AM, 12:00PM, and 3:00PM. We will let you know which of these times you/your organization has been assigned to later this week. If you absolutely cannot make it to one of these time slots, please let us know. You can email us at [email protected].

2. When is the meeting for organization leaders?

We will not be having a meeting for organization leaders this year. Please arrive at Replant Day on Saturday, October 15th at your assigned kick-off time.

If you have already committed to signing up to volunteer for the 25th Annual Replant Day, please make sure that you attend. This year we are planting 476 trees and we are going to need all of our volunteers to make the day the best that it can possibly be.

Aggie Replant greatly appreciates everyone that will be participating. You are truly helping the community through one of the Aggie core values: selfless service. We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, October 15th!

If you would like to sign up to be a volunteer for Replant Day, you can sign up here: replantonline.tamu.edu.

Thanks and Gig ‘Em!

Replant Day 2016 Plant Site Applications CLOSED.

April 5, 2016 by dsingletary

Aggie Replant has been truly humbled by the out-pouring of interest and support from our local community during the past few months. Last year, we planted at six sites on Replant Day 2015: this summer, we received more than 100 plant site applications and confirmed fifteen plant sites for Replant Day 2016! Our community’s overwhelming desire to participate with Aggie Replant and to support our mission reveals our path forward: we will continue to strive to establish more plant sites and provide more trees to residents of our community, while will give a greater number of Aggies the opportunity to participate in the growing tradition of environmental stewardship and to selflessly serve our community.

We would like to take a moment to thank each and every applicant and potential plant site host for Replant Day 2016: we have enjoyed working with local-community members, and we sincerely appreciate your interest, your support and your time. While we were able to accommodate more plant sites for this Replant Day, with the sheer number of applications and our current operating capacity, we regret that we were not able to offer more potential hosts the opportunity to participate in Replant Day 2016. We anticipate that our committee will conduct Replant Day 2017 plant site evaluations during March and April of 2017, and we will first announce the application for next year’s Replant Day through email to those, who applied for Replant Day 2016 but were not selected to host a plant site.

If you have any questions, then please email the Aggie Replant Executive Team at [email protected].
