Education

This is our newest committee, being made in the spring of 2008. The purpose of the education committee is two fold: 1) spread knowledge to both the committee and the entire community (children, parents, faculty, students, etc.) and 2) to create social opportunities for Replant to help unite the committee. A project that is currently underway will be to travel to one of the Bryan ISD elementary schools in order to teach the students small facts and ways to help out the environment.  During the Spring of 2009, the education sub-committee will be contacting after school care programs so that we may teach children about the importance of trees. Members of this committee will motivate both other members of Replant and non-members alike of the importance of planting trees.  This committee is also responsible for instilling knowledge of how to plant trees, where to plant, and what kind of trees to plant, and even why it is beneficial for one to plant trees among members of the community.  Our Education sub-committee executive is Hana Nguyen.
